Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in home community care and be knowledgeable in medical terminology, anatomy, and critical care practices. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort and well-being of clients while promoting their independence. Responsibilities Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Help with meal preparation and nutritional needs, ensuring dietary requirements are met. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status. Assist with mobility and transportation to appointments or social activities. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client conditions to healthcare professionals. Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) while respecting their privacy and dignity. Experience Previous experience in home care or personal care assistance is preferred. Knowledge of infectious disease care practices is a plus. Familiarity with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) usage is beneficial. Ability to phlebotomize is an asset but not required. Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy is highly desirable. Experience in critical care settings or hospitals will be advantageous for this role. $10.00 - $12.50 per hour
