Job Description

Job Summary Join our compassionate healthcare team as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). In this vital role, you will provide personalized, high-quality care to individuals across various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home environments. Your dedication will help enhance the quality of life for patients by assisting with daily activities, monitoring health conditions, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while developing your skills in a supportive and dynamic setting. Duties Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts. Monitor and document patient vital signs, health status, and changes using Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems. Support patients with medication administration following medical terminology guidelines and HIPAA privacy standards. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments, including memory care techniques and dementia-specific activities. Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, wound care, hospice support, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding or meal preparation to meet dietary needs. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks like laundry and cleaning to ensure patient comfort and safety. Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records while adhering to confidentiality protocols. Skills Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize changes in health status. Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for medical documentation and record keeping. Proficiency in assisting with ADLs, medication administration, catheter care, and hospice or dementia care. Ability to work effectively with individuals who have developmental disabilities or require memory care support. Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, CPR certification, and infection control practices. Excellent caregiving skills combined with compassion, patience, and strong communication abilities. Capable of working independently or as part of a team in live-in employment or shift-based roles.
