PCA Personal Care Aide

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring they receive the care and attention they deserve in a comfortable and safe environment. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals. Support clients in mobility and transportation, including driving to appointments or social activities. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel. Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their emotional well-being. Assist with personal care tasks in various settings including long-term care facilities, assisted living homes, personal care homes, or group homes. Skills Strong ability to drive safely and assist clients with transportation needs. Capability to lift and support clients as needed while ensuring their safety and comfort. Experience or knowledge in medication administration practices. Familiarity with long-term care principles and practices within assisted living environments. Compassionate approach to senior care and direct support for individuals with varying needs. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
