The ideal candidate will have experience working with people with developmental disabilities and will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for our clients. This role is vital in assisting individuals with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their overall well-being. Duties Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Support individuals in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and housekeeping. Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being. Facilitate mobility assistance, including helping clients move around their home or community. Document client progress and report any changes in behavior or health to the supervising staff. Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Experience Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Familiarity with group home settings, long-term care facilities, memory care units, or assisted living environments is a plus. Background in social work or community care is advantageous. Ability to drive clients to appointments or community activities as needed. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and their families.
