Job Description

As a PCA/DSP at Genacta, we work to improve independence and quality of life for our neighbors facing various disabling or potentially disabling challenges. Our goal is to help individuals enjoy life by helping them perform their simple daily functions: light meal prep, medical appointment escort, personal hygiene, bathing, light housekeeping. Your compassion and diligence as a PCA/DSP will bring joy into the lives of the individuals in our community needing assistance. You will work independently with individuals in their home, Genacta in Home Care has immediate opening for both Full and Part-Time. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health by taking vital signs, observing for changes, and reporting findings accurately Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, laundry, and organization of personal spaces Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts to safely assist with mobility and transfers Document care activities meticulously, update care plans regularly, and communicate effectively with team members and family members Qualifications Prior experience in home care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly desirable Ability to pass federal background check Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; willingness to obtain if not already certified Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia (including Alzheimer's), or memory care needs Strong patient observation skills with attention to detail in monitoring health status and safety Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with transfers using appropriate techniques and equipment Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of client information Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to caregiving Join us in providing exceptional support that fosters independence and dignity for those we serve. Pay:
$20.00 - $26.00 per hour
