Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Duties As a Personal Care Assistant, your responsibilities will include: Providing personal hygiene assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Assisting clients with mobility and transfers, including lifting when necessary. Supporting clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, laundry, and housekeeping tasks. Administering medication as prescribed and monitoring health conditions. Offering companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being. Assisting with catheter care and other specialized medical needs as required. Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations while providing care. Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients with developmental disabilities or those requiring hospice care. Experience The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience in patient care or caregiving roles, particularly in assisted living or long-term care settings. Familiarity with hospice care practices and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Knowledge of proper lifting techniques and safety protocols when assisting clients. A compassionate demeanor with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and their families. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed care plans effectively.
