Physical Education Teacher (PE Teacher) Responsibilities & Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate physical education curriculums Create engaging lesson plans that promote physical activity and health Instruct students in physical activities, sports, and fitness exercises Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive attitudes towards physical fitness Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback Maintain equipment and ensure a safe, clean environment for physical activities Organize and supervise extracurricular sports and fitness programs Monitor students during recess, lunch, and physical activities to ensure safety Promote healthy lifestyle choices through education and example Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to coordinate physical education efforts Adapt lessons for students with varying abilities and needs Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessment Communicate with parents and guardians about student performance and wellbeing Participate in professional development workshops to stay current with teaching methods and educational standards Physical Education Teacher (PE Teacher) Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field Master's degree in Education or a related field is a plus Certified in CPR and First Aid Experience in coaching sports or leading fitness programs Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities Knowledge of current trends and best practices in physical education Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or a related field State certification or licensure to teach physical education Prior experience teaching physical education or working with children Strong organizational and planning skills Ability to manage a classroom and maintain discipline Physical stamina and the ability to demonstrate exercises and sports Commitment to promoting physical health and overall wellness among students Understanding of safety protocols and the ability to respond to emergencies Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with school staff and parents The Girls Coordinator supports the academic, behavioral, social, and emotional development of female students in grades 6-12. This position works closely with students, parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators to promote student success, leadership, positive school culture, attendance, and overall well-being. The coordinator serves as a mentor, advocate, and role model while helping maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive school environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Student Support & Mentorship Build positive relationships with female students in grades 6-12. Provide mentoring, guidance, and support related to academics, behavior, attendance, and personal growth. Monitor student progress and identify students needing additional support or intervention. Conduct regular student check-ins and follow-up meetings. Encourage leadership, responsibility, confidence, and positive decision-making. Behavioral & Attendance Support Assist administrators with student discipline and behavior management. Help implement campus behavior expectations and restorative practices. Monitor attendance and work with students and families to improve attendance and punctuality. Support conflict resolution and peer mediation when appropriate. Parent & Family Communication Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and concerns. Participate in parent conferences and campus meetings. Serve as a liaison between home and school to strengthen family engagement. Campus Culture & Programs Assist with planning and coordinating programs, events, workshops, and activities focused on student leadership, wellness, character development, and empowerment. Promote a positive and inclusive campus culture. Support extracurricular activities, mentoring groups, and student organizations. Collaborate with counselors, teachers, and staff to support student success initiatives. Collaboration & Administrative Support Work collaboratively with campus administrators, counselors, teachers, and support staff. Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation as required. Participate in professional development and campus committees. Assist with supervision duties before school, after school, during lunch, and at school events as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience working with middle school and high school students preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to build trust and positive relationships with students and families. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Knowledge of adolescent development and behavior management strategies. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required. Required Skills and Abilities Leadership and mentoring skills.
