Job Overview We are seeking a Peddi-assembler Tube Laser Cutting Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in , TX. This role involves operating and maintaining tube laser cutting machinery, ensuring precise fabrication of metal components according to technical specifications. JOB SUMMARY
The CNC Tube Laser Cutting Machine Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and routine maintenance of CNC tube laser cutting machines to produce high-quality parts from metal tubing and pipes according to precise engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, be detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED required. Technical diploma or certification in CNC machining, manufacturing technology, or a related field preferred. Additional training in mechanical systems, CAD/CAM, blueprint reading and quality inspection or automation programming is a plus.QUALIFICATIONS 3-5
years of experience in manufacturing and 3D modeling or a related field, with at least 2 years' operating CNC laser cutting machinery (preferably tube laser systems such as: BLM, Amada, or Trumpf). Prior experience with fiber laser cutting machines required. Experience interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders at an intermediate or advanced level. ERP software experience preferred. Forklift or pallet jack operation experience a plus. Bilingual (Spanish/English - read, write, and speak) preferred.Technical Skills:
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, 3D modeling and work orders. Proficient in CNC programming (G-code) and familiarity with CAD/CAM or nesting software. Strong understanding of material properties and cutting requirements for steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. Skilled in performing precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other quality instruments. Solid mathematical skills, including geometry and trigonometry for layout and setup accuracy.Soft Skills:
High attention to detail and a strong commitment to product quality. Set up, operate, and monitor the Peddi-assembler tube laser cutting machine to produce high-quality metal parts Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications Program and adjust CNC laser machines using CAD/CAM software to optimize cutting parameters Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser equipment, ensuring optimal performance Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment, adhering to safety protocols Inspect finished parts with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers for accuracy Collaborate with fabrication, assembly, and quality control teams to meet production deadlines Maintain accurate documentation of production runs, machine settings, and quality checks Utilize hand tools and tooling for minor repairs or adjustments as needed Support packaging and material handling processes for finished productsRESPONSIBILITIES
Machine Setup and Operation:
Set up and operate CNC tube laser machines, including fixture adjustments, raw material loading, and finished part unloading. Verify machine readiness and ensure programs are optimized for accuracy and efficiency.Programming Management:
Select, load, and edit CNC programs using nesting software, 3D Modeling and control interfaces. Monitor material utilization and optimize cutting parameters to minimize waste and maximize productivity.Quality Control:
Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure all finished parts meet dimensional and quality standards. Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision tools and maintain inspection documentation.Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
Monitor equipment performance and identify issues affecting production quality or efficiency. Perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs as outlined by the manufacturer.Blueprint Interpretation:
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to determine setup, weld sequence, and specifications.Safety & Compliance:
Follow all safety policies and procedures, including PPE use and safe material handling (forklift/crane operation as needed). Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.Documentation:
Complete all the required production records, inspection forms, and maintenance logs accurately and promptly. Requirements Proven experience operating tube laser cutting machines or similar CNC equipment in a manufacturing setting Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls, CNC programming, CAM programming, and CNC milling or lathe operations Familiarity with blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawing interpretation Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine settings Ability to operate forklifts safely; forklift certification is preferred Experience with fabrication processes including welding, stamping presses, press brake machines, and tooling Mechanical aptitude with hands-on skills in machining, assembly line work, and materials handling Knowledge of factory safety protocols and quality control procedures Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience is highly desirable Competency in SolidWorks or other CAD software is a plus Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment If you are motivated by precision manufacturing and eager to contribute your technical expertise within a collaborative team environment in , TX, we encourage you to apply today.Pay:
