Caliber will take care of billing, infrastructure, and clients. Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children to enhance their ability to perform daily activities and improve their overall quality of life. You will collaborate with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each child. Your expertise in pediatric therapy will be essential in fostering growth and development in a supportive environment. Responsibilities Assess and evaluate children's physical, emotional, and developmental needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving daily living skills (ADLs) for children with various disabilities. Provide therapy services in a variety of settings including outpatient clinics, schools, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and effective discharge planning. Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and occupational health to inform treatment strategies. Work with children diagnosed with autism and other developmental disorders to enhance their functional abilities. Document patient progress accurately and maintain up-to-date care plans. Educate families on therapeutic techniques and strategies for continued support at home. Participate in case management activities to coordinate care across various healthcare settings. Skills Proficient in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) for pediatric patients. Experience in discharge planning and transitioning patients from acute care settings. Knowledge of early intervention strategies for children with developmental delays. Familiarity with working in acute care environments, including ICU experience when applicable. Ability to create effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Experience working with individuals across the lifespan including geriatrics as needed. Strong understanding of patient care principles within pediatric contexts. Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and healthcare teams regarding treatment goals and progress. Experience in outpatient therapy settings as well as school-based therapy practices is highly desirable.
