Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students by utilizing your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic school-based setting. In this contract role, you'll provide vital speech and language services to children and collaborate with educators and families to support student success. Whether you have extensive clinical experience or are completing your Clinical Fellowship Year, your knowledge will help students overcome communication challenges and thrive academically and socially.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in Illinois. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), or candidates completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are welcome. Prior experience working in schools, pediatrics, healthcare, or teletherapy is highly valued. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency with teletherapy software and remote platforms (for hybrid or online service delivery). Passion for fostering growth and progress in students with diverse speech and language needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educational teams. Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services, in-person or virtually. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and legal requirements. Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations for student goals. Liaise with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure continuity of care. Stay up-to-date with best practices and continuing education in the field of speech-language pathology.
