Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This full-time contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide speech-language pathology services to a K-12 caseload in a school setting located in Portsmouth, VA. The role focuses on supporting students with diverse communication needs and collaborating with educators and families to enhance student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech-language therapy to students across kindergarten through 12th grade Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and goals Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation of therapy progress Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success Participate in team meetings and professional development activities as required
Qualifications:
Valid Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license Experience working with pediatric populations in a school or healthcare setting is highly valued Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred but not required Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students and school staff Ability to manage a full-time caseload efficiently
