Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for the 2026-27 school year, providing speech-language therapy services across multiple educational sites near Cove City, NC. This engaging position is ideal for SLP-CCC professionals as well as Clinical Fellows (CFYs) interested in gaining school-based and pediatric experience in both in-person and potential teletherapy settings. The 37.5-hour workweek spans PreK, elementary, and middle/high school levels —offering a diverse and dynamic caseload of 50-55 students. Responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive speech-language assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, working closely with students ranging from PreK to high school, and maintaining collaborative communication with educators, support staff, and families. The role spans several locations to ensure you'll gain exposure to a variety of settings, with sites in and around Vanceboro, New Bern, Havelock, as well as the James City, Newport, Merrimon, Cedar Island, and Emerald Isle communities.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current (or eligible) North Carolina SLP license SLP-CCC or actively pursuing CFY status Experience or strong interest in pediatric and school-based settings Exceptional communication and organizational skills Positive team-oriented attitude Ability to manage a diverse caseload across multiple school sites
