Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in education by providing speech and language services to students as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract opportunity is designed for dedicated professionals experienced in supporting children's communication needs within school-based environments. Work alongside educators and families to help students reach their fullest potential in a collaborative educational setting.
Qualifications and Professional Background:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active license as an SLP or eligibility to obtain licensure in Illinois Strong background in school-based or pediatric speech therapy, including Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants Experience or interest in delivering teletherapy as well as on-site services Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and other professionals Skilled in developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized education plans (IEPs)
What You'll Be Doing:
Evaluate students' speech, language, and communication abilities, using evidence-based assessment tools Develop targeted and measurable goals as part of IEP teams Deliver direct and consultative speech and language services, both in-person and through teletherapy platforms, as needed Maintain accurate records of assessments, progress notes, and student outcomes Communicate recommendations and progress clearly to families and educational teams Provide support and guidance to other therapeutic staff or assist as necessary This contract position offers the opportunity to work with diverse student populations in a supportive and innovative school environment.
