Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling summer assignment supporting young learners as a Contract Speech-Language Pathologist for an Extended School Year (ESY) program. This dynamic opportunity centers around providing high-impact services in a preschool setting, focusing on compensatory support to help students thrive academically and socially. Work a convenient schedule from Monday through Thursday, 8am to 12pm, from June 1st to July 2nd. Contribute your expertise in a collaborative and nurturing educational environment near Maple Heights, OH, making a meaningful difference for preschool-aged children in need of consistent SLP support.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Active state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply. Demonstrated experience with pediatric populations, ideally in a school or early childhood setting. Strong knowledge of providing compensatory and ESY services. Excellent communication, organization, and team collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language therapy to preschool students per their IEPs. Conduct assessments, maintain timely documentation, and deliver individualized interventions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families to foster student success. Offer expertise in best practices for communication development and support transitional programming as needed. Adapt therapy strategies to maximize engagement and progress during the ESY period.
