Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a difference every day by supporting students' communication growth and well-being in a dynamic educational setting. This contract opportunity seeks an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to provide high-quality pediatric speech services throughout the school year, including summer terms, in a collaborative and supportive environment. Work with a varied caseload, contributing your expertise to enhance each student's learning journey.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current Washington state SLP license required ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligible Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Active Medicaid provider number and CAQH profile Credentialed with additional insurance companies At least 2 years of related professional experience preferred, ideally in school-based or pediatric settings
Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language therapy to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or relevant documentation Assess, diagnose, and provide evidence-based interventions tailored to school-aged children Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including teachers, families, and administrators—to foster supportive learning environments Maintain thorough records, ensuring timely and accurate documentation Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing development of student goals Adapt therapy techniques to meet each child's developmental, cultural, and educational needs Remain current on best practices and regulations in school-based speech-language pathology
