Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role for the 26/27 school year supporting preK through elementary students near Talking Rock, GA. As a full-time professional, you'll collaborate directly with a vibrant learning community, focusing on students from ages 3 through third grade across one or two closely located schools. This opportunity lets you apply and expand your expertise in speech-language pathology, working with diverse learners and contributing meaningfully to their development. Your dedication will be key to helping students communicate confidently and achieve academic success.
What We're Looking For:
Active SLP licensure and eligibility/possession of ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Experience in school-based or pediatric speech-language pathology Familiarity with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices—experience strongly preferred Previous work with elementary age groups, particularly preK through third grade Comfort traveling between two schools located within a 5-minute drive of each other Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, families, and other professionals Preference given to candidates available for in-person work each school day
Your Responsibilities:
Evaluate students for speech, voice, language, and communication needs Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) Provide direct and consultative therapy services (both individual and group) Assess progress and adjust interventions for optimal outcomes Maintain detailed documentation and participate actively in IEP meetings Educate and train staff and families in using AAC devices and enhancing communication at home and school Imagine yourself making a difference every day, building positive relationships, and seeing tangible progress in students' communication skills.
