Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity working as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellow (CFY) in school settings near Mount Vernon, IL. This full-time, contract-based role offers two openings—one supporting students in 4th through 8th grades, and the other working with early childhood, kindergarten, and 1st grade. Make a meaningful impact by helping students develop essential communication skills in a collaborative, student-focused environment.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current or pending SLP-CCC or CFY licensure Experience in pediatrics or school-based settings strongly preferred Knowledgeable in developing and implementing IEP goals Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities Commitment to evidence-based practices and a team approach
Core Duties:
Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver direct therapy services to students Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student goals Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and provide input on student progress Contribute to IEP meetings as needed and provide ongoing consultation Adapt approaches to meet a variety of individual student needs and grade levels
