Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting preschool students by providing vital speech-language services during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This position is perfect for Speech-Language Pathologists with expertise in pediatric and school settings, especially those passionate about making a difference in early childhood education. Work closely with children who are receiving compensatory speech-language therapy services, ensuring they reach developmental milestones and build crucial communication skills. Enjoy a contract assignment running Monday through Thursday, 8am to 12pm, from June 1st to July 2nd—a schedule that allows for the perfect blend of work and summer downtime.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders Active certificate of clinical competence (CCC) from ASHA or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility Ohio state SLP licensure in good standing Experience working in school-based or pediatric SLP settings Strong collaboration and communication skills to partner with fellow educators and families Previous work with compensatory services and preschool-aged children is highly valued
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized speech-language therapy to preschool students in group and one-on-one formats Develop and implement treatment plans based on IEP goals and student needs Conduct assessments and reassessments as required to monitor progress Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all services provided Communicate effectively with caregivers and interdisciplinary teams This contract engagement offers a meaningful opportunity to focus intensively on early childhood service delivery, while maintaining a flexible summer schedule.
