Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This position focuses on pre-school students and delivers compensatory services in an engaging educational setting near Lakewood, OH. Schedule offers a desirable work-life balance—work Monday through Thursday, 8am to 12pm, from June 1st through July 2nd. Make a positive impact on students' communication skills while enjoying a streamlined, consistent summer schedule.
Ideal Experience and Qualifications:
Current Speech-Language Pathology license valid for Ohio ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Background in pediatric speech therapy, particularly in a school or healthcare environment Experience with preschool populations and early intervention Strong collaboration and communication abilities for working with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to provide compensatory and catch-up services as part of ESY programmingKey Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech and language therapy to pre-school-aged students as part of compensatory ESY services Conduct assessments and maintain detailed documentation of progress Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with teachers and families Communicate effectively with school staff and parents to support student growth Ensure all interventions meet state and federal guidelines for educational settings This contract opportunity offers an ideal schedule for SLPs seeking summer hours, along with the chance to make a genuine difference in the lives of young students.
