Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step confidently into a vital Speech-Language Pathology role supporting students as part of a contract assignment covering a maternity leave from the beginning of the school year through the winter break. This opportunity offers the chance to work with a caring elementary student population (approximately 60 students) through both direct and teletherapy formats. You'll be instrumental in ensuring continuity of care for students at an energetic, supportive elementary school setting. Ideal candidates bring a blend of school-based and healthcare-related SLP experience, a passion for pediatric services, and a commitment to fostering communication growth in young learners.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current licensure or eligibility as an SLP in New York State Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcomed Experience with pediatric populations, preferably in an educational setting Familiarity with teletherapy delivery methods a plus Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized and group speech-language therapy for approximately 60 elementary students Conduct evaluations, develop IEP goals, and participate in IEP meetings Maintain detailed records and progress notes, adhering to school and state requirements Collaborate with educators, families, and school professionals to support student goals Employ a variety of service delivery models, including in-person and teletherapy Support a nurturing, growth-oriented classroom experience This contract position ensures you make a meaningful impact in a focused timeframe, working in a welcoming educational community.
