Peer Recovery Support Specialist

Wellness and Recovery with Maitri (WARM) is dedicated to fostering a nurturing environment for both clients and staff. We envision a sober and clean community where individuals are empowered to overcome challenges and achieve success beyond their expectations. We focus on the essential aspects of life and advocate for those struggling with addictions. WARM is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Peer Recovery Support Specialist to join our team. We are looking for someone that has been clean and sober for at least a year. We are a sober living home dedicated to empowering individuals in their recovery journey from substance use disorders. Our mission is to offer compassionate, innovative recovery care, and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment that respects the dignity of every person we serve.

Hours:

2nd shift: openings- 3 PM-1 AM with a possible mix of 1st shift also 7 AM- 3

PM Key Responsibilities:

Support clients throughout their recovery journey by sharing lived experiences to build trust and rapport with clients. Offer hope & encouragement to individuals in early or ongoing recovery. Support self-advocacy-empowering individuals to connect with community resources and learn to live independently. Teach coping skills, communication strategies, and wellness tools. Work alongside clinicians, counselors, case managers, and social workers. Complete documentation in Electronic Health Records (EHR) System. Be part of a dynamic and collaborative team.
