Responsibilities Provide peer-led support by sharing personal recovery experiences to inspire hope and motivation. Conduct crisis intervention and management to de-escalate situations and ensure client safety. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive behavioral change and goal setting. Assist clients in navigating behavioral health services, including mental health counseling and addiction treatment programs. Maintain accurate documentation of interactions within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance. Mentor clients through emotional support, skill development, and community resource connection. Collaborate with clinical teams to develop personalized recovery plans that reflect client needs and strengths. Experience Lived experience with mental health challenges or substance use recovery is highly valued. Prior experience in crisis intervention or crisis management roles is preferred. Background in behavioral health, social work, or related fields enhances effectiveness in this role. Familiarity with motivational interviewing techniques and addiction counseling methods is advantageous. Knowledge of EHR systems for documentation purposes is desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly. Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure while providing compassionate support.
