Valid degree from an accredited college or university Current Washington State Teaching Certificate with proper endorsements Have or can obtain clearance from Washington State Patrol and FBI background checkPreferred Qualifications:
Three to five years teaching experience in appropriate area Multiple areas of endorsement preferredKnowledge and Abilities:
Demonstrate effective instruction, engaged learning. Acquire and record quality evidence of learning Demonstrate organizational skills and computer skills necessary for supporting instruction. Must understand and maintain confidentiality. Demonstrate constructive and effective communication skills and work effectively with students, parents and cohort. Creative and caring with commitment to education for all students. Strive to maintain and improve professional competence.Essential Job Functions:
Meet and instruct assigned classes at the location and the time designated. Plan a program of study that strives to meet the individual needs, interests and abilities. Create and maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning. Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects and communicate objectives to students. Maintain accurate, complete and correct records Maintain a positive attitude, good work ethic, and demonstrate promptness in work arrival and in accomplishing all tasks.
