This pivotal role offers the opportunity to be at the heart of a vibrant K-12 Performing Arts program spanning Music, Drama and Dance, within one of Melbourne's leading independent schools. Working closely with the Director of Performing Arts, Performing Arts Administrator, faculty leaders, teachers and instrumental tutors, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of both curricular and co-curricular programs and events across the School. The Role This is a full-time, term-time-only position. The appointment will be offered initially as a 12-month contract, with the possibility of becoming ongoing. To support the operational needs of the Instrumental Music Program and Performing Arts faculty, the role requires a 7:30am start each school day. Key Responsibilities Administer the Instrumental Music Program, including timetabling, enrolments and communications Provide comprehensive support for concerts, productions, performances and special events Coordinate Front of House and operational requirements for Performing Arts events Assist with marketing, communications and audience engagement activities Manage scheduling, room bookings and general faculty administration Deliver outstanding customer service to students, families, tutors and staff Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and administrative efficiency About You You will bring a high level of professionalism and initiative, along with: Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills A proactive, collaborative approach to teamwork The ability to manage competing priorities with confidence Competence working with digital systems and databases A genuine interest in Performing Arts and education A commitment to supporting students and contributing positively to school life Experience in Performing Arts administration, event coordination or school-based administration will be highly regarded.
