Nonunion Short Film Drama Location:
Salt Lake City, UT; Denver, CO; Phoenix, AZ; Boise, ID; Las Vegas, NV; Los Angeles, CA Apply Save Job Compassionate, but set in his ways. Manuel is an old-fashioned man in his mid 40s. He grew up in Salt Lake City, surrounded by Latin/American culture, and most of his deeply held beliefs stem from this and from his Catholic origins. Throughout his life, these beliefs have only been affirmed and reinforced, until his child, Sam comes out to him as a trans male. This clashes with Manuel's traditional beliefs, and cause him to inadvertently push Sam away. Throughout the film, Manual goes from being a downtrodden and self-pitying middle aged man to a more open-minded and fulfilled father.
