Job Description
Casting "Wicked," a licensed showcase for the roles of Glinda and Elphaba, which will include teaching the role on camera to musical theatre kids. If you have played either role in the past, that is a plus. It is not required, however, the ability to sing and act the role is crucial. Dancing is not required. The production is cast in a relatively traditional manner, similar to an actual production, but is more lenient as the production leans toward positive on-camera presence and joy for musical theatre to help encourage the viewers. The company provides you with a structured "script" that goes through Levels 1-5 of teaching the song, but encourages the talent to speak in their own language and share their own take on the character. The director and producer will be present for guidance, and a track will be provided for reference. You will be expected to talk through the concept of the role and to sing the song two or three times.
