• to entertain at children's pool parties and private events in the Sacramento area.

This is a part-time, per-event position, ideal for strong swimmers and performers who love working with kids and want a fun, flexible gig. As a mermaid performer, you'll swim in a professional mermaid tail, lead poolside activities, and create a magical experience that kids (and parents) remember.

Events typically include:

• In-water mermaid swimming demonstrations (tail splashes, hair flips, spins, handstands)
• Interactive games such as treasure hunts, relay races, mermaid limbo, and follow-the-leader
• Leading sing-alongs and telling mermaid adventure stories
• Teaching kids beginner mermaid skills (bubble rings, tail kicks, partner swimming)
• Posing for photos with guests Each event is different, and you'll adapt your performance to the age group, pool setup, and party theme. Requirements
• Strong, confident swimmer you must be comfortable swimming continuously for 1-2 hours, including underwater
• Able to swim proficiently in a mermaid tail this is non-negotiable; you should be able to move, turn, and perform in a monofin without difficulty
• Great with kids patient, energetic, and able to keep a group of children engaged and safe in the water
• Reliable and professional you'll arrive on time, come prepared, and represent Aquamermaid with enthusiasm
• Must be able to commute to event locations within the Sacramento area Preferred Qualifications (Assets)
• Own your own mermaid tail and have experience swimming in it
• Current or previous swim instructor or lifeguard certification
