We are seeking a performer with strong sleight-of-hand/close-up magic skills to portray a roaming character in our Dark Carnival experience. This role blends interactive street magic with immersive theater. The character is a grungy carnival ring leader type. They are slick and charismatic, but greasy, grimy and untrustworthy. The performer will roam the carnival area, interacting with guests while staying in character, pulling them into quick demonstrations, and performing sleight-of-hand tricks that leave guests amazed and spooked. The emphasis of this role is technical sleight-of-hand ability. Because this role involves heavy guest interaction and improvisation, The Haunted Trail will provide coaching on character traits and performance style, but applicants must already have strong fundamentals in close-up magic.
