Job Description
Job Overview Crowns and Commerce is a community celebration of natural beauty, entrepreneurship, and culture, hosted by Sistah's Braid Too! We are seeking volunteer models to participate in our Hair Showcase , where talented braiders and stylists will demonstrate a variety of in-demand natural and protective hairstyles. Responsibilities Volunteer models will receive a professionally styled hair look (braids, twists, natural styles, or updos) to be showcased on stage during the event. No previous modeling experience is required — just a willingness to be on stage and celebrate the beauty of natural hair. Arrive at the designated time for your styling appointment (time slot will be assigned) Sit for hair styling services provided by professional braiders/stylists Walk or stand on stage during the Hair Showcase portion of the event Be photographed and filmed for event promotional content (optional, with signed release) Represent the event with positivity and confidence Must be at least 16 years of age (minors require parental consent) Hair must be in a healthy condition for styling (minimum 2-3 inches of natural hair or suitable for braiding/extensions) Comfortable being on stage in front of an audience Reliable transportation to and from the event venue in Fayette, MS Positive attitude and willingness to follow styling and event coordination instructions Experience Preferred (but not required): Previous modeling or stage experience Availability for a brief rehearsal before the event
