Job Summary:

Frightmare Farms Haunted SCREAM Park is seeking experienced, theatrical, and immersive Character Performers to join our elite Corpse Crew for the 2026 season. These are not your average scare actors. We're looking for method actors and seasoned performers who can develop original characters that align with our haunted themes and storylines. In particular, this role will support our Forbidden Frightmare Forest attraction — a haywagon-based experience where guests are transported through the darkness and into the unknown. Performers must be comfortable riding and performing on a moving wagon, delivering immersive, in-character scares and storytelling throughout the journey.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and perform a unique character that fits within the world of Frightmare Farms' haunted attractions. Stay fully in character while riding and performing on haywagons for the duration of each show loop. Interact with guests through improvisation, scripted moments, and atmospheric engagement. Collaborate with the Creative Team to develop backstories, lookbooks, and scare tactics for your role. Participate in rehearsals, workshops, and character development meetings. Maintain the safety, timing, and theatrical integrity of your performance. Wear and manage costumes, masks, and makeup as required. Assist with special events, media days, or promotional appearances when needed.

Requirements:

Strong background in theater, immersive performance, improv, or method acting. Ability to ride and perform on a haywagon (balance, physical awareness, and vocal projection required). Comfortable working in low-light, outdoor environments, often in varying weather conditions. Flexibility in role assignment, schedule, and availability (weekends and October evenings are a must). Comfortable with physicality and creating energy through movement, voice, and presence. A collaborative spirit and a passion for storytelling through fear. Must be at least 18 years old.
