CASTING AN OFF-BROADWAY BLACK/QUEER CENTERED PLAY

DESCRIPTION BLACK PLAY is a play that follows three collegiate students during their closing performance of "The Black Play," a play their collegiate theater department puts on, specifically to "platform" the Black students in their department. Over the course of the play, the students struggle with the morality of their performance when their fourth castmate goes missing before their performance. Google Form to : forms.gle/Pjm9LKi1SZN6xbUU6 The play has 4 roles. 3 main roles & 1 supporting role The 3 main roles will be paid $300 for 8rehearsals and 4 shows. While the supporting actor will be paid $150. DEE (they/them): A racialized Black collegiate student of trans experience. They're a freshman, and they're struggling to stay ambitious in a world that can't seem to digest them. (looking for trans or gender-diverse actors.) BRIA (she/her): A racialized Black collegiate student. She's a junior at the PWI, and she's ready to graduate and put this place behind her. TRENTON (he/him): A racialized Black collegiate student. He's a junior at the PWI, and he believes his experiences at their theater department is preparing them for the "real world." •
