Data Collection Session Monitor Part-Time | $25/hr | Pittsburgh Area About CurvePoint CurvePoint is a CMU spinout developing Wi-AI technology — a novel approach to detecting concealed weapons in K-12 schools using Wi-Fi sensing. We're currently running pilot programs in several Pittsburgh-area school districts. The Role We're looking for reliable monitors to oversee data collection sessions at local schools. During these sessions, actors simulate students entering and exiting buildings with backpacks and non-firing weapon replicas while our sensors collect data. What you'd do: Direct actors through scripted scenarios (what to carry, which doorways to use, timing) Monitor session progress and ensure data collection runs smoothly Escalate any issues to our Customer Success team — no independent decision-making required This is a "be present and attentive" role — similar to proctoring an exam or monitoring a research study. Low complexity, but requires reliability and attention to detail. Schedule & Location Sessions at Chartiers Valley SD, Hempfield Area SD, Central Valley SD and future sites. Weekly/daily sessions, including weekends. Typically 8 hours per session, all after school hours. Schedule provided at least 1 week in advance (flexibility needed for occasional changes). Requirements PA school clearances required (existing clearances strongly preferred): Act 151 — DHS Child Abuse History Clearance Act 34 — PA State Police Criminal Records Check Act 114 — FBI Fingerprint Clearance (IdentGo) Reliable transportation to Pittsburgh-area school sites. Availability for 6+ hour shifts, including some weekends. Don't have clearances yet? We'll reimburse the ~$50-60 cost. Processing takes 7-10 days.
