Responsibilities Dress in a high-quality mermaid costume and bring the character to life with lively movements and expressive gestures Perform engaging stories, songs, and dances tailored for young children during parties and events Lead interactive activities such as games, sing-alongs, and simple teaching moments to keep children entertained and involved Communicate clearly and enthusiastically with children and their families to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere Maintain professionalism by arriving on time, staying in character throughout the event, and ensuring safety at all times Collaborate with event coordinators to customize performances based on theme or special requests Assist in setting up and packing down costumes and props before and after each event Requirements Strong background in dancing, theater, or performing arts with the ability to entertain diverse audiences mermaid tail costume and red hair or wig works as well Excellent public speaking skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Experience working with children, including understanding their needs and maintaining patience Ability to teach simple dance moves or storytelling techniques in an engaging manner Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients Physical stamina to perform active routines while wearing a costume for extended periods Prior experience in costume characters or similar entertainment roles is a plus but not required; enthusiasm is key!
