This energetic role involves teaching a variety of dance styles, developing engaging curricula, and creating innovative choreography that encourages creativity, discipline, and confidence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dance techniques, classroom management, and curriculum development, with a flair for motivating learners and fostering a positive learning environment. Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive dance curricula tailored to different skill levels and age groups, including children, teens, and adults. Teach engaging dance classes across various styles such as ballet, theater dance, contemporary, and more, ensuring proper technique and safety. Develop creative choreography for performances, recitals, and competitions that showcase students' talents and progress. Manage classroom dynamics effectively by maintaining discipline, encouraging participation, and supporting individual growth. Provide constructive feedback to students on their technique, performance, and artistic expression to foster continuous improvement. Incorporate elements of theater, photography, sewing, or other related arts into dance projects to enhance artistic expression. Support students' overall development by integrating childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and early childhood education techniques when working with young learners. Qualifications Proven experience in teaching dance styles such as ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, acrobatics, hip hop, etc, with a strong understanding of choreography development. Demonstrated ability to develop engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs and skill levels. Experience working with children, preschoolers, or students with special education needs is highly desirable. Knowledge of classroom management techniques to foster a positive learning environment. Strong communication skills for working effectively with students of all ages and collaborating with colleagues or parents.
