Lecturer, Department of Fine Arts (Dance) Saint Anselm College - 4.1 Manchester, NH Job Details Part-time 4 hours ago Qualifications Teaching visual & performing arts Student mentoring Mid-level Master's degree Teaching arts Dance Bachelor's degree University teaching experience Dancing Classroom Teaching Teaching Full Job Description The Fine Arts Department at Saint Anselm College, a Roman Catholic undergraduate liberal arts college in the Benedictine tradition in Manchester, NH invites applications for a part-time faculty position in Dance to begin August 2026. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate-level dance courses with a focus on Jazz and Contemporary techniques, while contributing to a collaborative and student-centered learning environment. The Dance Program at Saint Anselm College is a new and growing initiative committed to cultivating creativity, confidence, and critical thinking through movement. Students engage with diverse styles, professional-level training, and performance opportunities within a liberal arts environment. The ideal candidate will bring both technical expertise and a strong pedagogical approach to developing dancers at the college level. This position is ideal for an educator and artist who is passionate about teaching, mentorship, and contributing to a dynamic collegiate dance environment. Interested applicants should submit a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, evidence of teaching ability (teaching philosophy, sample syllabi), links to performance and/or teaching reels (if available) and academic transcripts to the attention of Dr. Sean Parr, Department Chair, via the college website. Required Skills:
A Bachelor's in Dance or a related field is required, a Master's degree is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level. Demonstrated proficiency in multiple dance styles, including Jazz and Contemporary is required.
Required Experience:
Teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred. Applicants with experience as teachers at the pre-professional, or studio level preferred. Teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred. Successful candidates will be able to assist the college in advancing its mission and strategic priorities , which includes institution-wide diversity and inclusiveness .
