Hip Hop Dance Instructor/Choreographer

​At On Pointe Arts, we're always excited to connect with passionate, dedicated individuals who believe in the power of dance and the importance of creating a positive, uplifting experience for kids and teens. We are looking to add an additional Hip Hop Teacher to our dance family! The job will be primarily teaching recreational - advanced dance students in a variety of Hip Hop styles as well as the option to teach other dance styles as well. Classes take place on weeknights and Saturday mornings. Job will include choreographing for recitals, showcases, and competitions, building upon curriculums and student repertoire, and growing as a dance artist and coach. Experience teaching children ages 8-17 is preferred. Experience in Hip Hop is necessary and experience in teaching dance is required. Experience in multiple styles of dance is welcomed but not required including: Acro/Tumbling Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, and Musical Theater. College (some - degree) education is required. Preferably with an education or performing arts focus. Applicants should be charismatic, artistic, open to learning, willing to learn & uplift our current studio culture and ethics. A little bit about our dance studio: We offer classes to kids from the age of 18 Months to 18 years. We have the following styles of class for children starting in preschool and up: Acro/Tumbling, Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz, Musical Theater, Lyrical, and Tap. Our studio does have a competition company, The On Pointe Dance Company, and we like to label our studio as a hybrid in the industry. Meaning that we prioritize our Winter Performance and Spring Recital with the same importance as we do competitions. We ensure that every child, whether on company or dancing recreationally, is just as important and feels at home every time they walk in for class. We maintain small class sizes for all ages, enabling our staff to form personal connections with every dancer and provide individualized support. Having quality educators on our team allows us to maintain these smaller class sizes without compromising the quality of education and dance that our families and students deserve. Building a lasting relationship with dancers from a young age through their teenage years and beyond is an incredible honor for our teachers and something we strive for with every member of our dance family.
