Your passion for hip hop culture and movement will help foster confidence, creativity, and physical fitness in a lively, supportive environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to share your love of dance while developing curriculum and connecting with diverse learners. Whether working with children, teens, or adults, you'll bring enthusiasm and expertise to every class, making dance accessible and fun for everyone. Responsibilities Lead energetic hip hop dance classes tailored to different age groups and skill levels Develop engaging curriculum and lesson plans that incorporate foundational dance techniques and cultural elements of hip hop Manage classroom behavior to create a positive, inclusive learning environment Provide individualized feedback to students to support their growth and confidence in dance skills Incorporate multimedia elements such as music, photography, or theater techniques to enhance lessons Collaborate with colleagues on special projects, performances, or community events that celebrate hip hop culture Maintain a safe space for students by enforcing safety guidelines and managing classroom logistics effectively Qualifications Proven experience in teaching hip hop dance or related styles such as ballet or theater dance Strong knowledge of choreography, rhythm, and musicality specific to hip hop culture Ability to develop curriculum that balances technical skills with creative expression Experience working with children, teens, or adult learners in educational or recreational settings Excellent classroom management skills to foster respectful and energetic environments Background in childhood development, early childhood education, or special education is a plus Skills in photography or sewing are beneficial for creating promotional materials or costume design for performances Familiarity with behavior management strategies and lesson planning for diverse learners Join us in creating an inspiring space where movement meets culture!
