Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Hip Hop Dance Instructor to inspire and motivate our youth ages 5-12 through the art of urban dance. In this role, you will lead engaging dance classes, develop innovative curricula, and foster a positive learning environment that encourages creativity, confidence, and physical expression. Your passion for dance and ability to connect with diverse learners will help cultivate a vibrant community where students can thrive both technically and personally. Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive hip hop dance curricula tailored to beginning level and young age group. Lead lively, well-structured dance classes that emphasize technique, rhythm, and performance skills. Foster a supportive classroom environment that promotes respect, teamwork, and individual growth. Manage classroom behavior effectively while maintaining high energy and enthusiasm throughout each session. Incorporate elements of choreography, improvisation, and cultural context into lessons to enrich student understanding. Provide constructive feedback to students on their progress and celebrate their achievements to boost confidence. Collaborate with other instructors on special projects, performances, or community events to showcase student talent. Qualifications Proven experience in teaching hip hop dance or related urban dance styles with a strong portfolio of choreography or performances. Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques. Ability to work effectively with children, teens, or adult learners in diverse settings. Strong understanding of childhood development, behavior management, and early childhood education principles. Experience working with students with special needs or in inclusive educational environments is a plus. Skills in photography or theater are beneficial for creating promotional content or staging performances. Background in ballet, sewing (for costume design), or culinary arts can add creative depth to your teaching approach.
