Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and passionate Hip Hop Dance Instructor to inspire and motivate students from 5 to 10 years old through dynamic dance education for a Summer Camp program. In this role, you will design engaging dance curricula, lead lively classes, and foster a positive environment that encourages creativity, confidence, and physical activity. Your enthusiasm for dance and dedication to teaching will help students develop their skills while having fun and building community through movement. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive curriculum plans that incorporate foundational hip hop dance techniques, choreography, and cultural context. Lead engaging dance classes for kids age 5 to 10 years old, ensuring each session is energetic, inclusive, and educational. Manage classroom dynamics effectively by implementing behavior management strategies and maintaining a positive, respectful environment. Adapt lesson plans to accommodate different skill levels and learning styles, ensuring all students are challenged and supported. Incorporate multimedia tools such as photography or video recording to enhance lessons and showcase student progress. Organize end of the session presentation for parents that highlight student achievements. Maintain a safe space for students by enforcing safety guidelines during movement activities and ensuring proper use of dance equipment. Experience Previous experience teaching dance classes, particularly in hip hop or related urban dance styles. Strong background in choreography development and lesson planning tailored to kids. Proven ability to manage classrooms effectively while fostering a fun and motivating atmosphere. Experience working with children in educational or recreational settings. Knowledge of additional artistic disciplines such as theater or ballet is a plus for creative integration. Familiarity with early childhood education or preschool experience is beneficial for working with younger students. Background in photography or videography can be advantageous for documenting performances or creating promotional content related to dance programs.
