NEW ROCK MUSICAL CASTING LEAD ROLES FOR WORKSHOP AND DEBUT PERFORMANCES

PERFORMER

Theatre Rock Live East Hanover, NJ US JOB DETAILS DESCRIPTION

SOUNDWALL:

A rock musical about friendships, family and the lifetime connections made through music. This exciting new work featuring the award-winning songs of Joe Andolino, and a book by Jeff and Eric Klein will be workshopping the music and script in northern NJ during the summer before moving to a showcase performance in Manhattan in late 2026. This is a creative opportunity to help craft the characters with the director, writers, and musical team as we ramp up to its (paid) NYC debut.

Seeking:

WILLIAM BURDSCAVAGE

("BURD")•21 and 39. Perhaps reminiscent of Jeff Buckley but open to all rock stars who play some guitar. Striking look with an angelic voice. Original frontman, rhythm guitar player of Soundwall. Must playpetent rhythm guitar at the least.

SOO YEON

("SOO" or "SY")•21 and 39. Burd's girlfriend from college. Korean. Maternal. This role is unambiguously seeking a person with some Korean lineage, not "Asian".

TENNYSON

•18. SY's child (or maybe adopted child!). Hauntingly like Burd in voice and manner. Must also play guitar. Discussion and full transparency about the performance venue, potential stipends, and time requirements will be the first topic after initial submissions are screened. Having access to New Jersey or to transportation will be helpful before the transition into the Manhattan venue. Please send video links or reels, headshot, resume, any pertinent information for review. A focus on rock singing, and for Burd and Tennyson, playing some guitar is necessary. Quick phone videos to show guitar playing are acceptable. Thank you in advance for your submission!
