Job Description
Assistant Director - Bach to Rock, Carlsbad Bach to Rock (B2R) Carlsbad is seeking an energetic, customer-focused, and highly organized Assistant Director to help lead our growing music school. This is an exciting part-time opportunity for someone who is passionate about music education, enjoys working with students and families, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The Assistant Director partners closely with the School Director to oversee daily operations, student enrollment and retention, staff coordination, customer engagement, and community outreach. This role serves as a key leader within the school and assumes operational responsibility in the absence of the School Director. Bach to Rock is a modern music school for students of all ages with an inspiring and well-balanced music education. By teaching theory and technique using music that students know and love, B2R teachers develop musicians who enjoy performing, recording in our studio, and even composing original music!
Position Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day operation of the music school.
- Ensure exceptional experiences for students, families, and faculty.
- Manage scheduling for lessons, classes, camps, and performances.
- Maintain accurate enrollment, billing, and customer records.
- Assist at school events
- Engage with prospective students and families to drive enrollment.
- Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, and instructors.
- Assist with local marketing initiatives and promotional events.
- Support social media and community outreach efforts.
- Represent Bach to Rock at community events, schools, and festivals.
- Help develop partnerships that increase awareness and enrollment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of leadership, operations, customer service, education, retail, or business management experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based systems.
- Skills preferred: Sales, enrollment, or customer acquisition experience Bach to Rock offers the opportunity to work a flexible part time schedule in a fun environment with other like-minded musicians.
