Job Summary Job Summary Under the supervision of both the site principal and the Wildcats on Stage Director, the Assistant Director supports the Stanley Middle School theater productions. This collaborative, part-time role is integral to the success of the theater program, ensuring all aspects of the production are well-coordinated and executed. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and guide energetic middle school students in creating a memorable, theatrical experience, while fostering a positive and caring environment for all participants. EDUCATION
High school diploma or the equivalent.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the Assistant Director is required to stand, walk, and move around a rehearsal and performance space. The Assistant Director must have the patience and demeanor to work effectively with a large number of middle school students. The Assistant Director must be able to attend all rehearsals and performances.
EXPERIENCE
Experience in theater production, particularly in choreography or directing. Comfortable with leading a large number of students while maintaining a positive and caring attitude. Previous experience working with middle school students in a drama or theater setting is preferred. Familiarity with musical theater production processes is preferred.
