Job Description
New Canaan Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist church in Dallas, GA that embraces the use of both modern worship as well as doctrinally rich hymns in our worship service. The Music & Worship Director works with the choir and musicians, paid church staff, church committees, as well as community agencies, institutions and organizations as appropriate. He is to represent the church well in all interactions with others, showing a close relationship with Christ in his dealings with other people. The Music & Worship Director reports to and takes direction from the Senior Pastor. He shall coordinate with the Pastor in the planning, scheduling, and directing of the music program and ministries of the local church. He is also accountable to God and the church. The Music & Worship Director is responsible for leading the church in planning, conducting, scheduling and evaluating a comprehensive music ministry.
