Part-Time (10-20 hours/week) Reports to: Care Pastor About Impact Church Impact Church is a growing, non-denominational church in Hartwell, Georgia, with a passion to help people take their next step with Jesus. We are a church that values authenticity, community, generosity, spiritual growth, and serving others. Our worship gatherings are modern and engaging, designed to create an environment where people can encounter God and respond to Him. We are a growing church of around 200 people, with a strong volunteer culture and a desire to develop leaders from within. Position Summary The Worship Director provides both spiritual and practical leadership for the Sunday worship experience. This role is responsible for leading worship, developing volunteers, and creating an environment where people can encounter God through music and corporate worship. This is a hands-on leadership role—the Worship Director will typically serve as the primary worship leader while also building and developing a team. Worship Style & Environment Modern, contemporary worship (similar to Passion, Elevation, Bethel, etc.) Band-driven environment (vocals + instruments) Use of Planning Center for scheduling and communication Collaboration with sound and pro presenter teams Key Responsibilities 1. Sunday Worship Leadership Lead the congregation in worship each Sunday (9am & 11am services) Arrive prepared and on time for run-through and services Lead the team spiritually, including pre-service prayer and encouragement Create an engaging worship environment 2. Weekly Service Preparation Plan and organize worship sets in advance Work with the Senior Pastor to align songs and service flow with the message Schedule and communicate with team members through Planning Center Provide chord charts, arrangements, and resources ahead of time Coordinate with sound and media teams to ensure smooth execution 3. Team Leadership & Development Recruit, train, and develop worship and sound team volunteers Build a healthy team culture marked by humility, excellence, and spiritual maturity Develop musicians and vocalists both spiritually and musically Identify and raise up new leaders within the team Lead rehearsals as needed (midweek & Sunday mornings) 4. Ministry Alignment Ensure worship reflects the mission, values, and theology of Impact Church Communicate regularly with the Care Pastor regarding team needs Support and encourage all volunteers involved in worship and production 5. Collaboration with Church Leadership Work alongside the pastoral team to support the overall vision of the church Participate in staff meetings and planning as needed (weekly) Remain flexible and available during special services (Easter, Christmas, etc.) What Success Looks Like Worship services are spiritually engaging, well-prepared, and aligned with the message Volunteers feel cared for, equipped, and are growing New team members are consistently being developed Services run smoothly and without distraction A strong, healthy worship culture is being built over time Qualifications Spiritual & Character A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ A life that reflects biblical character and integrity Alignment with the mission, values, and beliefs of Impact Church A heart for serving and developing others Skills & Experience Experience leading worship in a church setting and a worship team Strong vocal ability and the ability to lead confidently from an instrument (guitar or keys preferred) Ability to lead both spiritually and musically Strong communication and organizational skills Experience working with volunteers Preferred (Not Required) Experience with Planning Center Ministry experience and teaching ability Ability to develop and train musicians and vocalists Familiarity with click tracks, arrangements, or basic sound and production elements Schedule & Time Commitment 10-20 hours per week on average Sundays (primary responsibility - both services) Weekly preparation and planning time Rehearsals (midweek and/or Sunday mornings as needed) Additional time during special events and holidays Compensation & Benefits Part-time, paid position (compensation based on experience) Expected range: $10,000-$15,000 annually
Paid Time Off:
◦ 2 weeks (10 days) of vacation annually ◦ Standard church holidays ◦ Reasonable sick/personal days as needed
Sabbatical:
