Position Category Middle School Classroom Instructor Title 26-27 Middle School Band Director Description We are seeking a dedicated Middle School Band Director to lead a comprehensive instrumental music program and serve as Assistant Marching Band Director for the high school. This role focuses on building foundational skills in beginning students while advancing intermediate musicians.

Responsibilities:

Provide instruction for brass, woodwinds, and percussion; recruit and teach beginning band students; prepare ensembles for concerts and KMEA events; manage classroom environment, instruments, and music inventory; assist with budgeting; and support high school marching band rehearsals and performances. Collaborate with the high school director to ensure a strong 6-12 program and maintain communication with families and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's in Music Education, valid Kentucky teaching certification (P-12), strong conducting and instructional skills, and ability to lead rehearsals indoors and outdoors.
