Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Coordinator of Art, Chimes, and Drama Discipleship to lead and inspire our art, chimes and drama programs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to foster spiritual growth through artistic expression, musical engagement, and theatrical activities. The coordinator will develop engaging curriculum, coordinate events, and mentor participants of children ages Preschool through sixth grade, helping them deepen their faith journey through the arts, chimes and drama. This paid position is ideal for someone with a heart for ministry, strong leadership skills, and a love for working with children and youth in a faith-based environment. Responsibilities Plan, implement and oversee an age appropriate level program of musical instruction Recruit, train and nurture volunteers to assist with age level choirs, ensembles and instrumental groups such as handbells and chimes Develop, manage and administer budgeted and special funds Coordinate programming with Director of Children's Discipleship Provide regular rehearsal opportunities for each group, usually the first part of the Sunday school hour Schedule participation in Sunday morning worship services and special and seasonal events Provide three four-week programs of music and/or arts each year Offer one annual musical performance from each age level and/or group outside of Sunday morning, typically Drama/Music Camp one week in June Coordinate Chime Choir and Art classes three to four times a year Qualifications Proven experience of at least one year in teaching or leading arts-related activities such as drama, music (including chimes or bell choir), or visual arts within a faith-based setting Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor diverse age groups, especially children and youth Excellent communication skills to effectively engage participants, volunteers, and church staff Knowledge of Christian counseling principles and experience providing spiritual guidance or mentorship Ability to plan and organize events from conception through execution with attention to detail This role offers a meaningful opportunity to impact lives through creative discipleship while working in a supportive, faith-centered environment.
