Normal Description:

Colonial Chorus Players of Reading, MA, is seeking a director for our June 2027 production of Next to Normal, the Pulitzer Prize-winning rock musical with book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey and music by Tom Kitt. The director position will be offered a stipend of $1,000. Next to Normal is the honest, intimate portrait of a seemingly "normal" modern family living with loss, grief, and mental illness. This ground-breaking musical wille to light June 18-27, 2027, at the Old Hose House Theater in Reading.

Qualifications:

Experience directing at themunity theater, college, or high school level. Ability to work within budget set by producers of show. Ability to collaborate with a team of designers for set, costumes, props, lighting, and sound. Ability to work collaboratively with a music director and stage manager.
