Normal Description:

Colonial Chorus Players of Reading, MA, is seeking a music director for our June 2027 production of Next to Normal, the Pulitzer Prize-winning rock musical with book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey and music by Tom Kitt. The music director/conductor position will be offered a stipend of $1,200. Next to Normal is the honest, intimate portrait of a seemingly "normal" modern family living with loss, grief, and mental illness. This ground-breaking musical wille to light June 18-27, 2027, at the Old Hose House Theater in Reading.

Qualifications:

Experience music directing at themunity theater, college, or high school level. Ability to work within budget set by producers of show to hire musicians required for the band. Ability to collaborate with the director, choreographer, and production team.
