Determined by contract / experience Position Details The band director will lead and grow a comprehensive instrumental music program for students in grades 6-12. The teacher will inspire students to develop musical excellence, creativity, discipline, teamwork, and a lifelong appreciation for music through high-quality instruction and performance opportunities. Qualifications Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with appropriate Music Education endorsement(s): JX or JQ Bachelor's degree in Music Education, Instrumental Music, or a related field Demonstrated proficiency in instrumental music instruction and conducting Knowledge of band pedagogy, music theory, music history, and performance techniques See attached for more information and application instructions.
