SOON is an indie-pop chamber musical written,posed, and lyricized by Nick Blaemire. The story follows a young woman navigating emotional isolation during an impending global apocalypse. Note from the director: "Because the staging is so intimate, we're looking for grounded, natural performances. The songs live in the same intimacy and style of the play- with the exception of Adrienne who is "performing" for the room.
SEEKING:
CHARLIE- as charismatic as she is conflicted, she battles between her lack of faith in herself with her dreams of life outside her apartment. Unique alto-mezzo with folk and strong groove instincts, belts to a Db. JONAH
- Charlie's boyfriend, funny, mischievous and confident but misses cues due to his privilege. He's pushed out of hisfort zone when he realizes he's falling in love with a woman who is self-sabotaging her life. Baritenor with pop and groove instincts and a great falsetto, sings to a G. STEVEN
